Who's Behind It

369CUG was founded by John Ellis, a Senior Quantity Surveyor with over 25 years in construction, including 14 years in quantity surveying and commercial management. He started on the tools at 16 and moved into surveying with Mace in 2012, followed by commercial roles at Morgan Sindall, Esh Construction, Elliott Modular and Lindum Group.

He has worked on projects with a combined value of over £250 million: supermarkets and retail units for Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons, Royal Mail depots, a £32M university scheme in Huddersfield, the award-winning conversion of the Grade II listed Cookridge Hospital into 63 assisted living apartments, £27M and £20M academy schools under the MMC1 framework, industrial units in Rotherham and Ripon, and rail frameworks for Northern and AMCO worth £41M combined. Alongside those, a steady run of one-off residential builds, barn conversions and listed refurbishments.
